Abu Dhabi CP, US CENTCOM chief meet on defense coop

ABU DHABI, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), at Al Shati’ place here on Saturday.

The talks between both sides focused on the bilateral defense cooperation as well as a number of issues of common concern, UAE News Agency (WAM) reported.

The meeting coincided with a review of the friendly relations between the two countries, particularly the military ties.

It also gathered Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council, Lt.-Gen. Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Mohammad Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court, and Air Vice-Marshal Ibrahim Nasser Mohammad Al Alawi, Commander of Air Force and Air Defense.
