Boursa Kuwait Securities Company on Thursday approved distribution OF KD eight million (USD 25.6 million) worth of profits for 2020.
The decision was taken after posting hike of net earnings, by 191.9 percent, to KD 28 million (USD 89.6 million).
The company said in a statement that its general assembly held a virtual session today, during which the management decided to distribute the dividends at a rate of 40 fils per share.
The statement quoted Chairman Hamad Al-Humaidhi as saying that the company made extraordinary performance during 2020, namely increasing its shares in the premier market, thus bolstering its pioneering status among the regional bourses.
It also increased its shares in the Kuwait Clearing Company by 50 percent, becoming the largest contributor, a matter that eased investments for all traders in the market.
The company, established in April 2014, manages operations at the local stock market.
