British Prime Minister Theresa May said Tuesday London could still seal successful trade agreements with a number of countries, including the US, following Brexit.
May said she was looking forward for positive and constructive talks with US President Donald Trump, who would pay a one-day visit to London on Friday, to discuss security and trade.
She was speaking at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at end of EU-Balkan summit.
May announced 80 million pounds (USD 106 million) donations for the Wester Balkan countries in 2020-21 to fight crime, terrorism and druf trafficking.
Merkel, commented on the Brexit, said the EU would respond to Britain’s White Paper, which included London’s plan to deal with custom tariffs.
Morawiecki said it was important to protect rights of the Polid community in Britain following Brexit.
He said the Brexit negotiations were not easy but Poland was satisfied with the progress.
