British lawmakers shun Brexit no deal scenario

LONDON, British lawmakers have rejected leaving the European Union without a deal under any circumstances.

The House of Commons members voted for the proposal by a slight majority of only four voters: 312 MPs voted for the proposal versus 308 against it.

The only option remained for Prime Minister Theresa May after today’s vote is delaying Brexit after March 29.

The government is expected to put forward a bill on Thursday to enforce article 50 of the Brexit law to put off Brexit date.

If approved, the British request would need the European Commission endorsement.

The delay is expected to be less than two months due to the European parliament election on May 23-26, but if the British lawmakers demanded more than two months, Britain would partake in the elections.

On Tuesday, the House of Commons rejected, for the second time, May’s Brexit agreement.
