KUWAIT The number of confirmed novel Coronavirus cases in Hong Kong rose to 51 on Thursday, including one death case, Hong Kong’s health authorities said.
China’s news agency Xinhua quoted Hong Kong’s Center for Health Protection (CHP) as saying that the health of four patients is deteriorating, while another five are in critical condition.
It added that one patient was cured and discharged from hospital, while 40 other patients are in a stable condition and receiving proper medical care.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung announced postponing schools until 16 March, in an attempt to prevent further spread of the virus. He noted that they would launch educational programs online for students in the meantime.
In China, the Coronavirus death toll rose to 1,367 with 60,000 confirmed infection cases.
