Egyptian Pres. congratulates Kuwait on Nat’l Day, Liberation Day

CAIRO Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al Sisi congratulated on Saturday Kuwait, His Highness the Amir, government and people on the 59th National Day and the 29th Liberation Day anniversaries.

The remarks were made during the reception of the Kuwaiti ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt Mohammad Al Thuwaikh, members of the embassy, the Egyptian Presidential Secretary, Counselor Ahmad Al Ansari, as a representative of President Al Sisi for the congratulations on the national holidays.

In a statement to KUNA, Ambassador Al Thuwaikh said, “Through our presence in Cairo, we have become accustomed to a brotherly gesture by President Al Sisi, where he offered his congratulations and blessings to Kuwait leadership, government and people on this occasion.” The ambassador added that the visit by Al Ansari indicates how great is the sentiments, love, and appreciation by the Egyptian leader, the Egyptian government, and the Egyptian people towards their brothers in Kuwait, “and this is not usually strange to them.” Al Thuwaikh conveyed this “dear occasion” with the warmest congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah.

The ambassador noted that during the next few days, the joint high committee between the two countries will hold the meetings of its 13th session, during which several agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed.
