Sharjah: Sponsored by the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF), a delegation from the Emirates Publishers Association has participated in the Yale Publishing Course, a ten-day session designed specifically for mid and senior level professionals to develop effective leadership skills needed to progress in their careers.
The course, which took place from July 15th to July 27th at Yale University, Connecticut, the USA, aimed to tackle some of the most important issues facing publishers in this time of ever-accelerating change. The representatives from the EPA were Mohamed Al Matroushi from Al Takhayul Pub. ‘&’ Dist, Hala Al Gergawi from Excelencia Publishing and Events, and Fadi El Moukanzah from Universal Publisher and Distribute.
On the occasion, Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi, president of Emirates Publishers Association, said, “In today’s fast-paced world where change takes place more often than ever before, the importance of such courses can never be ignored. They hone existing skills and teach new ones, helping professionals adapt to the changing environment around them.
