Kuwait, British Dom Barrett and US Danielle McEwan won the first places in men and women competitions of the Kuwait international bowling tourney which concluded at the new Kuwait Bowling Club in Salmiya on Wednesday.
Barrett, a world champion, came first at the men contest and snatched the $50,000-worth prize, followed by Iceland’s Arnar Johnson who won $25,000 prize and Canada’s Mitch Hupe was ranked third and got $12,000 as a prize, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
In women competitions, US player McEwan secured the top place, her compatriot Liz Johnson came second and was followed by Colombian blower Maria Rodriguez.
The Kuwait international bowling tournament marks the last rounds of the international tour 2019, with prizes totaling $218,000.
A total of 112 bowlers from all over the world took part in the seven-day tournament including world and ranked champions and some amateurs.
