FNC Speaker begins visit to Beijing

WAM Beijing, Mar 25th, 2013 (WAM) — Mohammed Ahmed Al-Murr, Speaker of Federal National Council arrived yesterday evening to Beijing heading FNC delegation on a several-day visit to the People’s Republic of China.

During the visit, which comes upon an invitation from Zhang Dejiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Al Murr will meet with Dejiang, and Xia Baolong, Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China in addition to other officials.

In a statement on this occasion, Al Mur noted the distinguished relations between the United Arab Emirates and the People’s Republic of China in recent years.

He pointed out that exchanging visits between leadership of the two countries are dominated by mutual understanding and the desire to build closer cooperation in various economic, cultural and educational levels.

He also stressed that parliamentary visits come to achieve more understanding, cooperation and more exchange of views on issues of mutual concern.
