BAGHDAD, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the handover of the remains of 46 Kuwaiti missing found in Muthanna province.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Al-Sahaf said in a statement that “within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministries of Defense and Health endeavor to end the file of Kuwaiti prisoners and missing persons, and with the participation of the Red Cross Mission in Baghdad, the results of the genetic analysis revealed that these remains belong to the missing Kuwaitis. “
He stressed that Iraq will spare no efforts to determine the fate of the other missing, and the process of rendition today indicates the continuation of efforts to find out the fate of others.
He thanked the Red Cross Mission in Baghdad for its great efforts since 1991, which have had a major impact on the progress of this humanitarian issue.
