Two Kuwaiti ministers lauded on Monday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s visit to China, describing it as “successful by all standards.” In a statement to KUNA and the Kuwait TV, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Sabeeh said that the State of Kuwait and China have prestigious, deep-rooted and continued relations.
She stressed that this visit would contribute to promoting, strengthening and cementing the distinguished ties between Kuwait and China.
His Highness the Amir’s visit which started on July 7 and runs until 10 resulted in the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two sides in different fields, she added.
Al-Sabeeh stated that the directives of both His Highness the Amir and Chinese President Xi Jinping call for implementing these deals on ground as soon as possible.
She referred that China has deep-rooted and prominent relations with several countries across the globe.
Meanwhile, Minister of Oil, and Minister of Electricity and Water Bakheet Al-Rashidi underlined, in a similar remark, the importance of deals and memos signed with China, mainly the ones covering the oil sector.
He noted that the deal signed between Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and China Export and Credit Insurance Corporation will have a positive impact on providing financial support for Kuwait’s projects, mainly the ones carried out by the Chinese firms.
Earlier in the day, His Highness the Amir and the Chinese President witnessed the ceremony of signing seven bilateral deals and memos in varied fields.
His Highness the Amir arrived in China on Saturday in an official state visit, which is the second one since he came to office. The first one was in 2009.
