VIENNA, The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors will convene a meeting at the Agency’s headquarters on Monday, focusing on Iran’s nuclear agreement.
Board discussions are expected to include verification and monitoring in the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution 2231 (2015), the agency said in a press statement.
The meeting will also address the IAEA Annual Report for 2017, Technical Cooperation Report for 2017, application of safeguards in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and implementation of the NPT safeguards agreement in Syria, it said.
The IAEA said in a recent report that Tehran continued to honor its commitments to the nuclear agreement signed with major world powers.
The report came just one day after US President Donald Trump announced a decision to quit the deal with Iran, and even vowed to import fresh sanctions on Tehran.
