India, Kuwait share deep-rooted relationship – Amb.

– India’s Ambassador to Kuwait, Sibi George, on Tuesday, hailed the historic relationship with Kuwait, which can be traced back to several centuries.

In a statement on the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day of India, the Ambassador affirmed that his country is committed to further strengthen and expand this multifaceted ties, which has over the years evolved as a long dynamic partnership.

“I thank the leadership and the government of the friendly State of Kuwait for taking care of the large Indian community in Kuwait during the COVID-19 pandemic,” he added.

The Ambassador also extended his appreciation to the Indian doctors, nurses and other medical personnel in Kuwait who worked hard to save lives during the difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Furthermore, Ambassador George said that despite the pandemic, the Indian-Kuwaiti relations continued to enhance and strengthen as various institutional agreements took place in 2020.

“This year, 2021, marks the 60th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Kuwait,” the Ambassador stated.

George hailed the commendable role played by the Indian community in Kuwait in building the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

George, meanwhile, said India’s vision of creating an environment of peace and security to ensure a better world has been the guiding spirit of India’s foreign policy
