Iran condemns West’s joint military attack on Syria

TEHRAN, April Iran has condemned the military strikes executed by US, UK and France against Syria, saying it will affect international peace and security.

In a statement on Saturday, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the West have launched the attacks although the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) did not present a clear proof on Al-Assad regime’s involvement in the alleged attacks on civilians in Douma.

Tehran also called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to condemn the attack.

It noted that the attack will create chaos in the region.

The US, UK and France have launched attacks on three chemical weapons production and storage facilities earlier today, as a response to an alleged chemical attack on citizens in Douma, Eastern Ghouta region last Saturday, which reportedly killed at least 78 and injured hundreds.
