GAZA, One more Palestinians was killed in an apparently lasting Israeli air raid on the Gaza Strip, bringing the death toll up to four so far, the Palestinian Health Ministry’s spokesman said.
“(Gaza) medical teams have picked up a fourth Palestinian martyr in northern Gaza Strip,” Ashraf Al-Qadra said in a press statement.
He identified the Palestinian killed in the Israeli air strike as Zaki Ghanama, 25, saying that he was “martyred in the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip”.
Earlier in the day, Palestinian medics announced that three Palestinians were killed and 18 others injured in Israeli air strikes on the enclave.
Israeli forces killed top Islamic Jihad commander Bahaa Abu Al-Ata, 42, in an air raid on his home in Gaza City, threatening to unleash another devastating round of violence. Shortly after the attack, salvos of rockets were fired from the Palestinian territory into Israel, with sirens wailing across its central and southern parts.
In the meantime, Islamic Jihad Movement said an attack was carried out on the home of Akram Al-Ajouri, one of its officials, in the Syrian capital, Damascus, killing Al-Ajouri’s son and at least another person.
