GAZA, The Israeli army continued its raids on the Gaza Strip for the second day in a row, killing four Palestinians and injuring scores others.
Health Ministry Spokesman Dr. Ashraf Al-Qadra said in a press statement that the young boy Iyad Abdel-Al, 22, died of his wounds sustained from the Israeli shelling last night in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, bringing the number of martyrs since the start of the Israeli raids overnight to four and more than 10 others wounded.
The attack came as Israeli warplanes continued to raid a number of houses in the Gaza Strip, destroying them completely, and leaving dozens of other nearby houses damaged, windows shattered and entire families displaced.
The Israeli raids targeted eight residential buildings and security installations in the Gaza Strip, including the headquarters of the Hamas-run Al-Aqsa satellite channel and the Al-Amal Hotel.
For his part, the government media office in Gaza announced suspension of government work in all ministries in the Gaza Strip, except hospitals and primary care clinics, direct public service providers and schools due to the deteriorating security situation.
