Kuwait tallied 626 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the past 24 hours, raising the tally to 66,529.
The Ministry of Health said that one patient for the virus had succumbed to the infectious disease, taking the overall death toll to 445 since the pandemic broke out in the country.
Of those infected, Kuwaiti nationals accounted for 413 cases while some 213 non-Kuwaitis contracted the virus, Ministry Spokesman, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The Ministry of Health earlier announced that 863 infected patients had recovered, bringing the tally to 57, 330 so far. Meanwhile, 134 patients are still at the intensive care units, while 8754 are receiving medical treatment.
