Kuwait affirms deep-rooted ties with Egypt

Kuwait Minister of State for National Assembly and Acting Information Minister Adel Al-Kharafi commended deep-rooted relations and cooperation with Egypt.

Al-Jarallah, speaking to reporters on sidelines of a reception held by the Egyptian Embassy marking July 23 revolution, said Kuwait and Egypt were bound to a strategic partnership in economic, military and cultural sectors.

Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah meanwhile said Kuwait-Egypt joint committee would be meeting end of this year in Kuwait.

Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tareq Al-Qooni said diplomatic relations with Egypt were established in 1957, and ties have been progressing ever since.

Al-Qooni praised His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s support to Egypt.

He said trade exchange exceeded USD three billion, and Kuwait was the third largest Arab investor in Egypt.
