Kuwait’s Ambassador to France, Sami Al-Sulieman commended, Thursday, the ongoing progress and prosperity of strategic partnership between Kuwait and France.
This came in a statement to KUNA after the Ambassador’s meeting with chief and members of friendship with Gulf States committee in French senate.
Ambassador Al-Sulieman commented that the journey of parliamentary relations between the two nations was explored during the meeting, in light of the visits between the Kuwaiti national assembly and French senate.
He also affirmed that both sides are doubling efforts in regards to parliamentary issues and events.
The Ambassador added that he illustrated to the committee the nature of the special bond that ties Kuwait and the republic of France by presenting key premises of consultation, political coordination, trade and investment collaboration, and cooperation on medical, military, security and cultural fronts.
He also indicated that president of the senate, Gerard Larcher’s, visit to Kuwait in 2019 by invitation of National Assembly speaker, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, reflected the keenness of Kuwait’s assembly on cementing the bonds between the nations.
Ambassador Al-Sulieman commented on the increasing French presence in Kuwaiti market saying that France has been a destination for Kuwaiti investment for quite a while, and lately it has been increasing its own investments within Kuwait.
He also touched on the cultural cooperation between the two nations in various aspects including academic and scientific as well as upcoming projects and agreements.
The Ambassador highlighted ways of medical cooperation and exchange of expertise to deal with COVID-19 repercussions, as well as care and treatment.
