The “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, on Sunday, launched a project, for the renovation and furnishing of 30 schools in Ad Dali’ Governorate, in south-western Yemen.
This is part of the campaign’s charity and relief activities in the Yemeni governorates, “Kuwait by Your Side,” said.
It quoted the Governorate’s Undersecretary, Nabil Al-Afif, as saying that, the renovation project would help the education process to stabilise in Ad Dali’.
Al-Afif added, the province is in a dire need of the aid offered by the State of Kuwait, after the huge devastation of the infrastructure there, due to war.
He highly appreciated the Kuwaiti leadership, government and people for their continued support to their “Yemeni brothers” through projects covering education, water, health, food and sheltering displaced Yemenis.
For his part, head of the governorate’s education office, Mohsen Al-Henq, said, the project would help the learning process to go on in Ad Dali’. He thanked Kuwait, the Yemeni-Kuwaiti Relief Agency and the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, for their hard efforts to help.
General supervisor of the project, Sultan Al-Shibani, highlighted Kuwait’s role for helping the Yemeni people in several governorates. He said, Kuwait’s support would continue to cover various aspects of life over the coming period.
“Kuwait by Your Side” is currently renovating 180 houses for the families of war victims, “martyrs” and the disabled, in Ad Dali’. In addition to building, and restoring water reservoirs, digging well, and establishing a solar power system in the province.–
