Kuwait has today confirmed 427 new COVID-19 infections over the past 24 hours, raising the total to 153,900 cases.
The Ministry said that two infected patients had passed away, keeping the death toll since the outbreak of the pandemic at 942.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 4,230, with 51 of them in intensive care units, according to ministry spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, who revealed that some 8,015swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,319,646.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 245 more people had been cured from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 148,728.
