KUWAIT OFFERS TREATMENT FOR 208 WOUNDED IN MOSUL

IRBIL, Iraq, May 3 (NNN-KUNA) – Kuwait has provided treatment for around 208 wounded persons, in the governorate of Mosul, due to the ongoing military operations in the governorate.

Speaking to KUNA, Kuwait’s General Consul to Irbil, Omar Al-Kandari, said, the Kuwait Relief Society, as the implementing body for Kuwait’s donation, has contracted with a private hospital and paid for the treatment, due to the inability of some government hospitals, to deal with the large number of injured people.

The aid provided by Kuwait will continue for the displaced people in Iraq, to cover all the needs, specially the medical needs, he said.

For his part, head of the hospital, Dr. Shawan Qader, thanked Kuwait for this gracious gesture, to offer treatment for the Iraqi people.– NNN-KUNA
