A Kuwaiti National Assembly session was adjourned on Wednesday due to lack of quorum, and government non-attendance.
Parliament Speaker Marzouq Ali Ali Ghanim adjourned the session according to Article 116 of the Kuwaiti constitution.
This article entails that “The government should attend the parliament session, represented but its head, or some of its members”, Al-Ghanim said.
Al-Ghanim earlier called for a special parliament session that was due to be held today upon a parliamentary request to discuss a number of parliamentary committees’ reports related to draft laws, and bills.
A report was listed in the due session’s agenda about the parliamentary human resources committee’ bill regarding assumption of public jobs, and other two bills of Kuwaitization of public jobs, and other reforms on raft laws of the Public Civil Service. (
