KUWAIT, Kuwait is set to play host to a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) economic and financial meeting on Monday, the Ministry of Finance said on Saturday.
The 107th meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee will be presided over by Kuwaiti Ministry of Finance Nayef Al-Hajraf, with GCC Secretary-General Abdul-Latif Al-Zayani attending, the ministry said in a press statement.
The event is part of never-ending activities and efforts purposed to prop up economic integration among all the six GCC member states, it added.
Al-Hajraf was quoted as believing that 37 years of meetings and gatherings have brought favorable reflections on the Gulf economies, according to the statement.
Hopefully, the Gulf gathering would come up with concrete recommendations and resolutions that could culminate in a further Gulf economic and financial integration, the Kuwaiti minister said.
