KUWAIT’S AMIR SAYS RIYADH SUMMITS PROMOTE GLOBAL PEACE, COUNTER TERRORISM

The Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said Sunday the three summits held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, would contribute to boosting global peace and tolerance, as well as fighting terrorism and extremism.

The Amir, in a cable to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, said outcome of a summit meeting between leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the US would contribute to boosting international peace and security.

He said he was pleased with outcome of the Arab-Islamic-US summit, which would contribute to promoting international cooperation to spreading tolerance and peace, as well as fighting extremism and terrorism.

The Amir commended the “spirit of cooperation and understanding” among the GCC leaders in 7th consultative summit.

The Amir thanked King Salman for hosting the summits and wished the Saudi people further prosperity under his leadership.
