Mohammed bin Rashid opens HCT’s new headquarters

The Patient Care event also marked the Zayed Humanitarian Day on the 19th of Ramadan which fell on the ninth death anniversary of the founding father of the nation, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The FoCP organises bi-monthly events for patients to allow them a chance to meet other patients and survivors, share their stories, and generally have a good time. Last month, the patients were taken to �At the Top’ Burj Khalifa – the tallest building in the world.

Dr Sawsan Al Madhi, Secretary General for Friends of Cancer Patients charitable society, said, “We are constantly striving to provide an affable environment to patients to help them see the world differently and understand that they are not alone. There are many others like them who have been through the same trying times. Our objective is to get them involved in day to day routine which they knew before the disease. I would like to thank Shababeek Restaurant for continuously participating in and supporting this noble cause and organising a delicious Iftaar for the fifth consecutive year.” WAM/AM
