WASHINGTON, — President Barack Obama will be joined by former President George W. Bush on Tuesday in Dallas, where the two will deliver remarks at an interfaith memorial service for the five police officers who were fatally shot in the Texas city last week. Vice President Joe Biden will also attend the service, as will former first lady Laura Bush. Obama also plans to meet with the families of the fallen officers.
The President cut short his visit to Europe for NATO summit meetings, returning home Sunday night, to deal with the aftermath of the Dallas police shootings and try to calm tensions in the US surrounding the police shooting deaths last week of two black men in Louisiana and Minnesota.
