Palestinian injured in pro-prisoners protest in W. Bank – MoH

GAZA, A Palestinian was injured in a confrontation between Israeli occupation forces and pro-prisoners protest in the West Bank on Monday, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.

The Palestinian, only identifed as male, was hit by live bullets in his chest and abdomen, and had underwent a surgery in Palestine Complex in Ramallah, the ministry said in a brief statement.

It described his condition as critical.

The Palestinian news agency, Wafa, said confrontation erupted between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces at northern entry of Beira town. The Palestinians were protesting the death of Bassam Al-Saeh, a prisoner who passed away in captivity.
