CAIRO, Egypt’s President Abdelfatah Al-Sisi reiterated his country’s commitment to strengthen the strategic partnership with the US.
A statement given by the Presidential Spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Radhi confirmed the commitment as it was discussed in the meeting attended by Al-Sisi and his wife on Saturday with the First Lady of the US Melaina Trump.
During the meeting, Al-Sisi praised the bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially the US Agency for International Development’s efforts to support projects in Egypt specifically in health, education, and tourism, while also financing small and medium enterprises to boost Egypt’s economic and social reform efforts.
Radhi added that the First Lady expressed her admiration for the ancient Egyptian civilization and the pride of friendship between the Egyptian and American people.
She also was very keen on promoting cooperation between the countries, especially in social fields as an extension of the successful partnership.
The Spokesman included that the discussion also leaned towards other topics of cooperation to maximize cooperation of the Egyptian efforts to develop a number of sectors: health, education, tourism, strengthening the role of women in society, and protecting the rights of children while promoting youthful movement.
