Prince Charles to succeed Queen Elizabeth as head of Commonwealth

LONDON, The league of Commonwealth announced on Friday that Prince Charles would succeed the Queen Elizabeth II as head of the Commonwealth.

In a statement following their meeting in Windsor city in western London, leaders of the Commonwealth said they recognize the role of the Queen Elizabeth II in supporting the Commonwealth and its people.

They added that the next head of Commonwealth should be Prince Charles.

The meeting included 46 heads of Commonwealth governments and foreign ministers of the remaining member states totaling 53.

The meeting discussed information security and commerce among Commonwealth member states as well as the protection of environment and Oceans.
