WASHINGTON, – Kuwait’s Permanent Delegate to the United Nations, Mansour Al-Otaibi, on Wednesday, refuted allegations, that the UN added the Kuwaiti Turath charity, to its sanctions list.
“Rumours, circulated on some social media websites, are in this regard null and void,” Ambassador Al-Otaibi said, in a press release, noting that his country received no requests or notifications from the concerned UN agencies.
“The Islamic Turath (heritage) restoration society and other licensed non-profit organisations are entitled to conduct social and humanitarian activities, inside and outside, Kuwait, according to the relevant laws and regulations.
“They offer essential praiseworthy aid to the needy people,” he said.
