Rise in EU’s int’l trade

BRUSSELS, In January to June 2019, European Union exports of goods to the rest of the world rose to EUR 998.4 billion (USD 1.1 trillion); an increase of 4.2 percent compared with January-June 2018).

For the same period, EU imports from the rest of the world rose to EUR one trillion, (USD 1.1 trillion); an increase of 4.9 percent compared with January-June 2018.

In January to June 2019, euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world rose to EUR 1.1 trillion (USD 1.2 trillion); an increase of 3.2 percent compared with January-June 2018.

Euro area imports from the rest of the world for the same period rose to EUR one trillion (USD 1.1 trillion); an increase of 3.7 percent compared with January-June 2018.

These figures were released by Eurostat, the EU’s statistical office, Friday.
