Saudi health authorities started Thursday vaccinations of citizens and expatriates against Covid-19.
“Today is the beginning of a breakthrough of the crisis in the largest vaccination campaign in the Kingdom’s history,” Minister of Health Dr. Tawfeeq Al-Rabia said in a statement after receiving a jab of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.
“Vaccine is optional and not compulsory,” he said.
Al-Rabiah said the ministry would allocate vaccination centers nationwide.
Saudi Arabia received the first shipment of the vaccine two days ago
