Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Shooting Championship kicks off Thurs.

The late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah Shooting Championship, organized by Kuwait Shooting Club, with the participation of a wide range of local shooters from the club and the Kuwait National Guard (KNG), will kick off on Thursday lasting for three days.

Kuwait Shooting Club’s Assistant Secretary General Mohammad Al-Ghruba said in a press statement on Wednesday that the championship that will be held at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex, will hold competitions in pistol and rifle shooting at a distance of 10 meters, plus archery for men and women.

The tournament’s opening day will be limited to conducting formal training for archers in all competitions, provided that the competitions will actually begin on Friday and Saturday, which will hold the first rounds and finals for all competitions, consequently the winners will be crowned on Saturday evening, he added.

The tournament’s organizing committee prepared all the equipment for the fields to make this event a success, as well as provided special supplies for shooters and archers, while taking all health precautionary measures against COVID-19, he said, underlining that this championship has a special status with the club because it supports the archers and shooters of Kuwait.
