Signs of resolving Gulf crisis in Sept. or Oct. — German Ambassador

German Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Karlfried Bergner said there are signs for resolving the Gulf crisis next September or October.

“The Gulf home is the most important way for solving the crisis,” the ambassador added in a statement made on sidelines of an Iftar (fast-breaking) ceremony held to reporters on Monday.

Endeavors by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah over the last two weeks were clear as he called, through messages, for reconsidering the problem, the statement carried by German news agency (DPA) said.

He noted that the United States also is seeking to find a solution to the crisis, the statement said.

The Ambassador pointed out that Kuwait is seeking to achieve stability and peace in the region, referring to Kuwait’s efforts in resolving Yemen’s crisis through hosting the parties of the plight.

On the Kuwaiti-German cooperation, Bergner said there are talks on scientific research and a key deal is likely to be signed in this regard.
