Six Muslim Brotherhood militants killed in Cairo suburb — statement

CAIRO, Egyptian security forces on Tuesday killed six members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood organization in a shootout in suburbs of the capital, Cairo.

The six gunmen were killed in a firefight when police raided their hideout in Cairo’s Sixth of October suburb, said Egyptian Interior Ministry in a statement.

The dead were planning a series of “terrorist attacks soon,” the statement added.
