Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir has underlined his country’s support to Kuwait’s mediation to resolve the current Gulf crisis.
“Sudan’s support to the Kuwaiti initiative to settle and iron out Gulf differences is unwavering,” President Al-Bashir told reporters Thursday, warning that the continuation of the crisis could have negative impacts on joint Arab and Muslim action.
For his part, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Ghandour announced that Al-Bashir would make a tour to Kuwait and Qatar to give impetus to mediation efforts.
On Wednesday, Saudi King gave instructions to allow Qatari pilgrims to enter the Kingdom through Salwa crossing point on Saudi-Qatari borders, a move which was warmly welcomed by Qatar.
