Trump confirms Pompeo meeting with North Korea leader

WASHINGTON, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed Wednesday that CIA chief Mike Pompeo met with North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week.

The Washington Post reported on Tuesday that Pompeo, who is also Secretary of State nominee, “made a secret visit to North Korea over Easter weekend and met with the country’s leader.” Trump said in a tweet “Mike Pompeo met with Kim Jong Un in North Korea last week.” He added “meeting went very smoothly and a good relationship was formed. Details of Summit are being worked out now.” “Denuclearization will be a great thing for World, but also for North Korea!,” he affirmed.
