Trump, Macron discuss Iran, digital sales tax – WH

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump has discussed by telephone with French President Emmanuel Macron the digital sales tax, the White House announced.

The White House said in statement that the two leaders, in the phone conversation Thursday, “agreed that it was imperative to complete successful negotiations on the digital sales tax and to curb Iran’s actions threatening freedom of navigation and commerce” in the Arabian Gulf.

“President Trump reiterated that dropping sanctions against Iran is not going to happen at this time,” the statement added.
