Trump, Macron discuss UK poisoning attacks, tariffs

US President Donald Trump spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron during which they agreed “the need to take action to hold Russia accountable” on the spy poisoning attacks in the UK, the White House announced Wednesday.

The White House said in a statement “the Presidents reiterated their solidarity with the United Kingdom in the wake of Russia’s use of chemical weapons against private citizens on British soil and agreed on the need to take action to hold Russia accountable.” It added that the two leaders discussed “how the United States and Europe might come together over tariffs.
