Trump says “terrible thing going on” between Pakistan, India

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump stressed that it is a “terrible thing going on right now between Pakistan and India,” and that it is a “very, very bad situation, and it’s a very dangerous situation between the two countries.” Trump told reporters at the White House, late on Friday, “we would like to see it stop. A lot of people were just killed and we want to see it stopped.” He added “India is looking at something very strong, it is a very, very delicate balance going on right now.” “There’s a lot of problems between India and Pakistan because of what just happened in Kashmir,” he stressed. “In Kashmir, it’s very dangerous.” The US had strongly condemned last week’s “terrorist attack” on an Indian convoy in disputed Kashmir region and called on Pakistan to “fully cooperate with the investigation” into the incident to bring perpetrators to justice.

At least 40 members of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force have been killed in a bomb attack on their convoy in the Indian-administered part of Kashmir last week.
