WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump reiterated late Monday evening that he will be releasing this week the transcript of his first call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which he described as “most important.” “In order to continue being the most Transparent President in history, I will be releasing sometime this week the Transcript of the first, and therefore most important, phone call I had with the President of Ukraine,” Trump tweeted. “I am sure you will find it tantalizing!” On Saturday, Trump told reporters “they want to have a transcript of the other call, the second call. And I’m willing to provide that. We’ll probably give it to you on Tuesday.” Trump first spoke with Zelensky in April but his July 25 phone call has been the focus of House Democrats’ impeachment inquiry following a whistleblower complaint.
Trump tweeted earlier “Read the Transcript. It is PERFECT!” The House of Representative will begin on Wednesday public hearings on the impeachment inquiry into Trump.
