Trump says would “love to” host Ukrainian Pres. at WH

WASHINGTON, US President Donald Trump said late Saturday evening that he would “love to” host Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.

In remarks to reporters outside the White House before heading for New York, Trump said “I would love to have him come to the White House if he’d like to come, and I think he’d like to come. I think he’d come very quickly. And he’s a good man.” He reiterated “we did absolutely nothing wrong. We had a totally appropriate, I even say perfect, conversation with the president of Ukraine. Everybody knows it.

“The Republicans have never been this unified. I’m at the highest level I’ve ever been at,” he noted.

He stressed “it’s a scam. It’s a hoax, the democrats are using it for political purposes, to try and win an election that they’re not gonna win.” Last week, the US House of Representatives voted 232 to 196 passing a resolution formalizing the impeachment inquiry of Trump.

This comes after Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced in September that the House of Representatives “is moving forward with an official impeachment inquiry” of Trump amid a filed complaint by a whistleblower about his phone call with the Ukrainian President, asking him to investigate former Vice President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden and his son.

Trump tweeted earlier “the Whistleblower has disappeared. Where is the Whistleblower?”
