Tunisia national team coach Nabil Maaloul said Monday he was focusing on physical condition of his players.
“We want to be ready at all levels, so we will concentrate on the physical condition in order to be at our peak at our first match against England,” Maaloul told reporters on sidelines of a team training session.
Tunisia will play their last international friendly against Spain on June 9.
The 2018 World Cup in Russia will be held between June 14 and July 15.
“The physical condition is of great concern to us, we need to narrow differences in conditioning among players,” said Maaloul.
He said his team performed very well during recently friendlies against Porutgal and Turkey.
Tunisia will have to maintain its style on the field, just like it did during the two friendlies, said Maaloul.
Tunisia’s first clash at the World Cup will be against England on June 18.
