Turkey, Jordan ink defense agreement

ANKARA, Turkey’s defense giant Aselsan and Jordan International Security Company (JoSecure) on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding in the realm of defensive industries.

The deal is intended to provide sophisticated security solutions to the Jordanian company, and to meet the needs of customers by establishing a strong supply base in Jordan, the Turkish company said in a statement.

Under the agreement, the parties will be able to share knowledge and carry out negotiations to explore potential promotion, marketing and supply openings for Aselsan’s security products and systems in Jordan and other countries, according to the statement.

Established in 1975, Aselsan is active in making military electronic systems and equipment, while JoSecure was created in 2004 to provide security services to public and private entities.
