The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US counterpart Donald Trump discussed in a phone call on Monday the latest developments in Syria.
According to Anadolu Agency (AA), the Turkish presidency said in a statement that both leaders stressed on the importance of implementing the roadmap suggested for the city of Manbij, located in northern Syria, as it will greatly contribute to resolving the Syrian crisis.
Both presidents vowed to work on boosting and enhancing bilateral cooperation in all fields, and following up with the issues discussed in North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit held last week.
Under a deal reached between the United States and Turkey last month, the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia would withdraw from Manbij and Turkish and US forces would maintain security and stability around the town.
