Up to 11 people wounded in shooting rampage in New Orleans – police

WASHINGTON, Up to 11 people were wounded in a shooting rampage early Sunday in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The New Orleans Police Department tweeted it is “investigating a shooting,” and that initial reports show “multiple victims.” “An individual was detained near the scene. However, their possible involvement in this incident remains under investigation,” the police said in a separate tweet.

It added, “No arrests have been made at this time. Investigation remains ongoing.” In an update, the police confirmed that 11 people were wounded, two of whom are in “critical condition” whereas “a victim walked in at a local hospital for treatment”.
