From July 24-26, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will host the first-ever Ministerial to Advance Religious Free at the State Department to “address persecution of and discrimination against religious groups, and promote greater respect for religious freedom for all.” During the three days there will be working groups that will discuss accessing donor resources and US policy priorities, according to a State Department release.

It also said that there will be an opportunity for guests to share their stories and expertise.

Additionally, global challenges to religious freedom will be discussed in order to make new commitments regarding the promotion of religious freedom, it said.

Those who will be invited to attend include government officials, representatives of international organizations, religious leaders, rights advocates, and members of civil society organizations from around the world.
