US woman gets 12 years in prison for supporting IS

WASHINGTON, — An American woman was sentenced to 12 years in prison for conspiring to provide support to the so-called Islamic State (IS), US Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Thursday.

Jaelyn Young, 25, from Starkville, Mississippi will also be under supervised release for 15 years following her release, DOJ said in a statement.

Young pleaded guilty to conspiring with Muhammad Dakhlalla, 23, from the same town who will be sentenced later this month.
